a “dog” nap

briscoe-in-blanket

Lately, I’ve been taking a lot of naps. I love napping. Curling up on the couch with a book or magazine, cozy under a warm blanket, while the air conditioner blows a cool breeze, is my idea of total relaxation. Eventually my eyes will start to get heavy, and I’ll lose my place in what I’m reading as I drift off into blissful sleep.

While it’s hard for nine-to-fivers to take a cat, erm, dog nap during the days, weekend naps can be just as restorative. Do you take advantage of napping in your spare time?

Oh I just love this picture!!!

I wish I was better at napping. I think I put too much pressure on myself to fall asleep that I just can’t. Is it true that anything more than 20 minutes will confuse your body?

i used to nap when the kids did. now they don’t take naps anymore…but i can be caught snoozing the afternoon away when my guy is watching golf or football!

I totally suck at napping. If the sun is out, I can’t seem to sleep. But when the twins nap I try to lounge out on the couch with a book for at least 20 minutes. The rest of the time I’m a frantic mess…

  5. These days, since the baby arrived, I’ve been napping whenever the baby naps. Love it!

even with the new baby, I can’t seem to sleep more than 20 minutes. But it definitely has a restorative effect on me, nonetheless.
