Look what J found knock, knock, knocking on the back corner of our house yesterday – a woodpecker! Short of throwing rocks at it, what’s the best way to prevent woodpeckers from chipping away at the siding of your house?

Brillo pads. Put them where they are pecking. They wont do it anymore.
Owl sculptures?
We had the same thing! Our woodpecker came by about 5 a.m. to peck on the house. Tips on how to deter them: shiny streamers or inflatable owls (if they blow in the breeze, the woodpecker will notice them more). Good luck!
