apples and pumpkins

I love these photos by Mrs. French. They make me want to go apple picking. When I was growing up my family would go to Delicious Orchards every autumn to go apple and pumpkin picking. I know that there are pumpkin patches near Omaha, but I wonder if there are any apple orchards…

I haven’t been to Delicious Orchards since October 2006 when J came with us for the first time. We weren’t able to go out into the orchards or the patches because it was raining, so we had to buy pre-picked apples and pumpkins from inside the market. I think we also planned to carve those pumpkins over the weekend, but for some reason that didn’t happen.
