<p>Could this past week have been any hotter? It was literally 105 degrees in Omaha on Wednesday, and breathing outside was actually difficult. I&#8217;m jealous of the couple in the photo above, who look like they&#8217;re about to jump into that dazzling aquamarine water.</p>
<p>Some faves from around the web:</p>
<p>Ugly scarf, beautiful <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/25198574/shibori-style-felted-scarf-in-shades-of" target="_blank">model</a>. Does she look familiar? Hint: &#8216;Mad Men&#8217; season 4 premieres July 25 on AMC. (via <a href="http://jezebel.com/5573117/christina-hendricks-models-on-etsy" target="_blank">Jezebel</a>)</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve always loved the idea of hanging <a href="http://somewhereinmiddleamerica.com/?s=plates" target="_blank">decorative plates</a>. <a href="http://poppytalk.blogspot.com/2010/07/porcelain-wallpaper.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FISuVv+%28poppytalk%29" target="_blank">This wallpaper</a> would be a lot easier.</p>
<p>Now I know what to get my <a href="http://unclutterer.com/2010/07/14/unitasker-wednesday-epts-keepsake-bag/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+unclutterer+%28Unclutterer%29" target="_blank">pregnant friends</a>.</p>
<p>The toothpaste that prevents the &#8220;<a href="http://www.papertastebuds.com/?p=4603" target="_blank">you squeeze the wrong end of the tube!</a>&#8221; quarrels.</p>
<p>I love the <a href="http://www.mintdesignblog.com/2010/07/spencer-finch/" target="_blank">wall of dreams</a>.</p>
<p>Learn how to cuss like a Brit &#8212; &#8220;Stupid Old Wanker!&#8221; &#8211; with this <a href="http://shop.moderntoss.com/?q=periodic+table" target="_blank">Periodic Table of Swearing</a>. (via <a href="http://sara-christine.blogspot.com/2010/07/periodic-table-of-swearing.html" target="_blank">Miss Jane</a>)</p>
<p>Simple and refined <a href="http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2010/07/on-streetsummer-in-city-paris.html" target="_blank">summer style</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be you&#8217;ve never made an <a href="http://www.elizabethannedesigns.com/living/2010/07/12/omelette-di-ziploc/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+elizabethannedesigns%2FPeED+%28Elizabeth+Anne+Designs+Living%29" target="_blank">omelet</a> like <em>this</em>. Or have you? Let me know!</p>
<p>An <a href="http://www.designspongeonline.com/2010/07/in-the-kitchen-with-spike-mendelsohns-milkshake.html" target="_blank">Almond Joy milkshake</a> sounds delish, but I&#8217;d love to try a Baby Ruth one. Give it a try, Spike!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to attempt to hit up the Farmer&#8217;s Market tomorrow if it&#8217;s not too hot and/or thunderstorm-y. I&#8217;d also like to catch either &#8216;Solitary Man&#8217; at the Dundee Theater or &#8216;Cyrus&#8217; at Filmstreams. What are your weekend plans?</p>

<p>What are your big plans for the holiday weekend? My mom and grandma are coming to keep me company for a couple of days, and I&#8217;ve been brainstorming outdoor activities and short day trips for us. A no-brainer would be for us to watch the fireworks on Sunday, but I the city of Omaha puts on <a href="http://www.omaha.com/article/20100701/NEWS02/707019895#a-big-bang-for-a-big-weekend" target="_blank">their show</a> tonight. Now that doesn&#8217;t make very much sense!</p>
<p>Anyway, have a safe and happy 4th of July!</p>
<p>I wish I had a big family so that we could have a reunion and make <a href="http://jordanferney.blogspot.com/2010/06/family-t-shirts.html" target="_blank">awesome screenprinted t-shirts</a> (among other reasons).</p>
<p><a href="http://www.camppals.org/donate.php" target="_blank">Donate a dollar</a> (or more!) to Camp PALS, a week-long overnight summer camp for young adults with Down Syndrome (via <a href="http://myconey.wordpress.com/2010/06/28/proudly/" target="_blank">My Coney</a>).</p>
<p>Can I please have a <a href="http://www.saraspartyperfect.com/2010/06/30th-balloon-party/" target="_blank">30th Balloon Party</a> when I turn 31? I would like to celebrate having survived 30&#8211;so far it&#8217;s not <em>as </em>terrible as I had imagined.</p>
<p>This printable list will come in handy as I plan <a href="http://perideaudesigns.com/blog/2010/06/28/printables-are-now-available/" target="_blank">my next project</a>: redecorating my bedroom.</p>
<p>Let the best stop-motion commercial battle begin! <a href="http://www.iheartyoublog.com/2010/06/spin-pin.html" target="_blank">Goody Simple Styles</a> vs. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj5Jr0QWNMA&amp;feature=related" target="_blank">Amazon Kindle</a>.</p>
<p>If I had something meaningful to say or a life-altering mantra to remember, <a href="http://www.unruly-things.com/2010/06/pretty-ladies-tattoos.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+unruly-things+%28unruly-things%29" target="_blank">this</a> would be how I&#8217;d express myself.</p>

<p>This <a href="http://www.designspongeonline.com/2010/06/sneak-peek-lauren-bradshaw.html" target="_blank">living room</a> is totally me.</p>

<p>A couple of loyal readers recently told me how much they used to enjoy the links I would post on Fridays, so I decided to bring back my weekly &#8220;Link Up&#8221; feature. Happy reading!</p>
<p>A <a href="http://www.olivia-rae.com/2010/05/smore-brownies.html" target="_blank">campfire treat</a> gets even more indulgent. (via <a href="http://www.youaremyfave.com/2010/05/spotted-and-hearted_19.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+YouAreMyFave+%28you+are+my+fave%29" target="_blank">you are my fave</a>)</p>
<p>From the curly hair to the studded shoes, she <a href="http://mrs-o.org/newdata/2010/5/19/stunning-in-peter-soronen.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+mrs-o+%28Mrs.+O%29" target="_blank">looks</a> beautiful.</p>
<p>My 30th birthday was a bust, so I&#8217;m going to <a href="http://ohjoy.blogs.com/my_weblog/2010/05/festive-flowers-giant-balloons.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogs%2FOtkg+%28Oh+Joy!%29" target="_blank">celebrate 31</a> like Joy.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m adding <a href="http://evajorgensen.blogspot.com/2010/05/month-of-paper-desk-set.html" target="_blank">this movie</a> to my Netflix list.</p>
<p>Did you know I have a new <a href="www.twitter.com/pjfeinstein">Twitter</a> name?</p>
<p>I wish I could have gone to the <a href="http://www.orangebeautiful.com/blog/post.php?post_id=1403" target="_blank">Orange Beautiful</a> grand opening in Chicago.</p>
<p>I can see myself comfortably wearing every single one of <a href="http://blissfulb.blogspot.com/2010/05/brochu-walker.html?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FFRKy+%28Bliss%29" target="_blank">these outfits</a>.</p>
<p>Take the 2010 <a href="http://www.foodnews.org/EWG-shoppers-guide-download-final.pdf" target="_blank">Dirty Dozen</a> list with you to Whole Foods.</p>

<p>Although I may have been guilty of committing these offenses in the past, I&#8217;m reformed and now find myself completely annoyed by bloggers who use expressions like &#8220;my darlings,&#8221; &#8220;my lovelies&#8221; and &#8220;dear readers&#8221; when addressing their followers. It&#8217;s a bit pretentious, no?</p>
<p>Also, I don&#8217;t  understand the use of  &#8220;bebe&#8221; or &#8220;bebes&#8221; instead of &#8220;baby&#8221; or &#8220;babies&#8221; by bloggers, but perhaps that&#8217;s because I&#8217;m not a mom.</p>
<p>Anything you want to get off <em>your </em>chest? I hereby propose March 31st to be a day of ranting.</p>
