I turned 30 last October and have just started getting serious cravings for a baby. But we’re still not ready, financially or emotionally. I am considering starting to save monthly for what I think the newborn costs would be. To see what kind of strain it puts on our budget. I’m not one of those “let’s just jump and see how it goes” kind of women.

I too thought I would have children in my twenties and be a “young mom”. I’m 25 now and we are going to wait at least three years before trying. Partly to enjoy being married for a few years and partly because I want to get a few deployments out of the way before I do it with kids!
