There’s no doubt about it – J and I watch too much TV. But how can we not? There are so many good shows to watch, and we enjoy being entertained. Our “must see” list this season includes:

  • Dexter – J got me into it
  • Weeds – Again, J got me watching, but I’m not as into it
  • Law & Order: SVU – Long time fav
  • Pushing Daisies – New fav
  • House – This season has gotten off to a boring start
  • Ugly Betty – Missed the first season and regret it now
  • Grey’s Anatomy – Because we have to
  • Reaper – A CW show… not a priority
  • The Office – Never watched it as religiously as I do now
  • 30 Rock – Fab
  • Scrubs – Not as funny as previous seasons
  • My Name is Earl – Joy is the best character on TV

Needless to say, we log a lot of hours on the couch! Hours during which I could be reading a book, calling a friend, beading a necklace, going to the gym, updating my blog, writing a letter (do people receive snail mail anymore?), volunteering, playing Wii… you get the point. Makes me feel like a big ol’ lazy slob. But I think I’m addicted.

I told my friend that I was going to limit myself to 2 hours of TV a night, and he laughed. He didn’t think that was limiting enough. But sometimes the TV goes on at 7 pm when we are making dinner and doesn’t get turned off until 10 or 11 pm. Seriously.

You pop culture fanatics must know what it’s like. DVR makes it too easy to NEVER MISS a show. Oh! And then there’s The Daily Show, The Colbert Report…

I think I need an intervention. (And by “I,” I mean “we.”)
