farmer’s market first-timer

Every summer, fresh vegetables, flowers, meat and crafts can be found at the Old Market and Village Pointe farmer’s markets on Saturday mornings. It took two years, but I finally made it to a market this past weekend. While J and our friends sampled cheese at various booths, I was camera happy with our new point and shoot. The Village Pointe market took less than 30 minutes to walk through, and we bought squash and zucchini, a beefsteak tomato and two lamb steaks. Can’t you just imagine what kind of deliciousness J will prepare with these ingredients? (I say J, of course, because anybody who knows me knows that I don’t/can’t cook.)

Lovely photos! Glad you’re back and blogging again :) My mom lives less than a mile from Village Pointe, and I don’t know if she knows about the Farmers Market there…I’ll have to clue her in!
