flowering trees
And now a lighthearted post after yesterday’s heavy-duty introspection.
It’s not just the flowers in my yard that are beginning to bloom; several trees are producing beautiful pink and purple blossoms. It makes me sad that the colors are so transient. I imagine that soon they will give way to green leaves that will shade my lawn.
Here in the northeast the flower petals are already starting to fall. I’ll definitely miss them. There’s something so magical about trees filled with puffs of pink, white, lavender, etc.

oh such pretty photos… when i was a little girl, i loved sitting below blossoming trees whenever it was windy so the petals would shower down upon me. im sure i wasnt the only little girl who loved that… think of all the delicious daydreams you could have beneath your trees, they’re absolutely laden with flowers!
