Happy Friday, my friends!  Since I’ve been out of the country and away from my computer for the past ten days, there’ll be no round-up today.

However, I have some exciting news to share: I’m one of eight bloggers for Lemondrop, a “saucy new women’s site.” My blog, The Starter Life, will be about my adventures in the Midwest as a newlywed and military wife. I’ll also be writing about being a city-fish out of water, quitting my job(s), attempting to start my own business and buying a first house. Basically, it’ll be a blog about my life.

The Starter Life will be updated every other Monday, and I’ll also be contributing additional pieces to Lemondrop, such as What To Do If a Friend’s Getting the Pink Slip, on a semi-regular basis.

Have no fears: I’ll still be blogging right here on Somewhere in Middle America, and I hope you’ll keep stopping by and sharing your thoughts and opinions.
