As a homeowner, it’s a huge pain in the ass when one of your appliances breaks beyond repair.  The upside, however, is that you get to buy a newer, cooler one! That’s exactly what J and I did on Saturday because our washing machine bit the dust. We went out to Nebraska Furniture Mart‘s scratch & dent department and bought shiny Bosch 500 Nexxt Washer for a great price because it was last year’s model.

Is it strange that I’m actually excited to throw in a load of laundry today?

While “The Plumbing Doctor” tears up the concrete in the unfinished portion of my basement to fix a crooked sewage pipe, I daydream about the day when life is quiet and peaceful at home.
