wacky meteorologists
It snowed early this morning, blanketing Omaha under (at least) 2-3 inches of the white fluffy stuff. Our first major snowfall of the season. Currently it’s 7 degrees outside, but the past two nights it’s been close to -20 degrees thanks to the wind chill.
The local news has been showcasing their meteorologists more frequently than normal because of the winter weather advisories. My favorite: Rusty Lord on WOWT, our NBC affiliate. Did his parents actually name him Rusty Lord? If not, what made him think that would make a good stage name? It sounds like a porn name!
Do your local meteorologists have too-good-to-be-true names? If so, please share! I could definitely use a laugh today.

It does sound like a porn name! Plus, this weather crap is no fun. It is so icy by me and I ran into a curb in my car. So cold and miserable. I want some sun, please.

It’s either the meteorologist or the traffic lady in Denver, not sure which one – but her name is Amelia Earhart. And she flies around in a helicopter. Seriously.

wow. snow looks nice. walking home last night i was in a light misty rain turned awful icy hail storm. ugh!

Ok, I’m having too much fun with this. I just saw that one of the Denver meteorologists is named Nick Carter. He’s a middle aged man. Not a troubled teen singer. Anyways, it made me laugh. Also, Amelia Earhart is the traffic lady, to clear that up.
